My journey with Shodo (Japanese calligraphy) began when I was just six years old, a passion that later led me to graduate from an art high school in Japan. For the next 15 years, I worked as a professional graphic and web designer. Yet, despite a successful career, I often felt an inner void, constantly searching for a deeper sense of purpose and a truer way to connect with the world.

That answer arrived like a flash of inspiration: KanjiENA.

Originally from Osaka and now creating from the United States, I established KanjiENA to share the timeless wonder and depth of kanji with people all over the globe. Through this unique style, I transform the English spelling of your name into meaningful kanji that beautifully reflect your personality and spirit.

Alongside these personalized names, I create custom hand-painted Shodo pieces, infused with your unique wishes and feelings. Every brushstroke is guided by sumi ink and intention, crafted to gently touch your heart and become a treasured, meaningful part of your life.
